COVID-19 Safety Plan

G'day, I hope you are well. Its been a while but I just thought that along with a bit of a website spruce up I'd give you a shout-out and let you know how I'm planning to proceed going forward during these difficult and uncertain times.

Along with all other small business owners and Allied Health Professionals, your health and safety remains of paramount importance to me.

Throughout this pandemic crisis I have been strictly abiding by all the necessary hygiene and safety procedures currently being recommended by Health NSW and my Professional Associations Massage & Myotherapy Australia, Reflexology Association of Australia and Yoga Australia and even temporarily ceased offering my services from Monday 23. March in accordance with these guidelines.

I have today received approval from NSW Health and Massage & Myotherapy Australia that Remedial Massage is able to resume transmission and so from Monday 20. April 2020 I am happy to offer my services once again having put the following COVID protocols in place:

In accordance with instructions from my Professional I have completed the recommended online COVID-19 Training module and can clearly state that all my sessions will be conducted within the following recommended guidelines.

Currently that includes:

  • All clients being asked the day before their appointment if they have any cold- or flu-like symptoms, have recently returned from overseas or in contact with a known COVID-19 diagnosis.

  • Regular hand-washing at my Byron Hinterland Clinic and Hand Sanitiser being used for my Mobile Service.

  • My Remedial Acupressure Massage sessions are (as always) received fully-clothed and without oil, minimising any risk of contact transmission.

  • A temporary suspension of my +15 min. New & Regular Client Upgrade with all sessions kept to a maximum of 60 mins.

  • The majority if not the entire session being received face-down, reducing the propulsion of any air-borne particles.

  • No linen will be used so I can wipe and sterilise the body cushion, face rest and floor mat after every client. A freshly washed face cloth and light cotton cover will new used for each client.

  • All shared facilities at my clinic (door handles, chair, table, pen, HICAPS card payment machine, bathroom etc.) will be wiped clean and sanitised for each and every client.

  • My usual 10-15 min. gap between clients will be strictly maintained with newly arriving clients being asked to remain outside in order to observe social distancing.

  • I am able to wear a face mask whilst delivering the treatment if that makes you feel more comfortable / becomes a recommended requirement.

  • In accordance with current Yoga Australia guidelines, no group Yoga Classes are currently being run - however I am able to safely offer online Private Yoga Tuition.

If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to raise them so that they can immediately be addressed.

I wish you all well and remember - any practice or pastime you find relaxing, like Massage & Yoga, will help you to reduce stress and only benefit your immune system and overall well-being.
