Saṁyoga (pronounced ‘sahm’yoga, sanskrit for 'lucky' or 'chance' but also for ‘union’ or 'integration' - the 'sum' of the individual parts made stronger and more effective as a whole) respectfully integrates traditional Hatha Yoga practices with the Five Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) along with updated techniques from a solid anatomy & physiology foundation, encouraging only mindful, healthy & rebalancing body movements of the spine, core & limbs.
Saṁyoga teaches a holistic view of the body, inviting communication with the student’s own inner teacher and promoting self-enquiry into the various connections between networks of parts, organs, systems & centres that lie within.
Individual ‘self-practice’ is inspired, both on and off the mat, allowing students to extrapolate beneficial practises into daily life, cultivating a ‘fitness’ of body, mind & emotions as well as a steady clarity & integrity of thoughts, words & actions.
Saṁyoga - the combined benefit being greater and more powerful than just the sum total of it’s individual parts - exemplifies a truely holistic definition of Yoga - from a foundation of āsana (movement) that also includes Yoga Philosophy, prāṇāyāma (breathing), mudra (symbolic gesture), mantra (sound), relaxation & meditation to help you discover long term improvements to your health & well-being.

"I’ve been taking Chris’ Yoga class for about six months. I have had ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS) for about 23 years but I am now at a stage where I feel
I can move forward a little.
Over the last 6 months as I have started to feel stronger - I am so glad that I found Chris’ Yoga class as it has given me so much more confidence and strength."
